With support from the California Arts Council, SAN DIEGO YOUNG ARTISTS MUSIC ACADEMY INCORPORATED will provide year-round music education, mentorship, and performance opportunities for underserved youth ages 3–18 in southeastern San Diego. Grant funds will support instructional staff, including the Music Director, Studio Engineer, Administrative Director, and Social Media Administrator, who are essential to program implementation, student engagement, and community outreach. Funds will also support music instruction books, educational materials, and marketing resources used to expand access to low-income families and increase community participation. Through instrumental instruction, music theory, digital production, ensemble performance, and public showcases, SDYAMA will provide culturally responsive arts learning experiences that promote creativity, confidence, discipline, and positive youth development while creating safe and accessible opportunities for artistic expression in historically underserved communities.
