1. RESILIENCE Model Programs — What began as a hybrid documentary-artist showcase in pandemic has grown into a community education program. We’ve hired 50+ foster-adoptee emergent artists across disciplines – videographers, photographers, dancers, and more – prioritizing economic sustainability by paying $100/hr for artistic work and $20/hr for admin tasks. Our RESILIENCE festival-style events serve as our training programming for emergent artists and build public understanding of foster-adoptees (former foster youth, adult adoptees, unofficial adoptees, aged out, and kinship/biological adoptees).
2. New Original Performance Works — We devise multidisciplinary performances that center the memories, stories, and voices of foster-adoptee generations. In an effort to kickstart or sustain the careers of our artists, we find opportunities for these works to either tour locally, virtually, or be developed into evening length works.
3. Annual Dance Festivals — Our 10 Year Dance Festival and Juchéti Uarháni (Our Dance) Festival connect emergent and established artists through performances, dance classes and battles celebrating foster-adoptee, street dance, and P’urhépecha culture.
