With support from the CAC, Loco Bloco will strengthen its organizational capacity to sustain culturally rooted arts programming by supporting three key leadership positions — Managing Director, Artistic Director, and Percussion Instructor — who collectively oversee organizational management, artistic direction, performer training, and arts education programming. These positions support three annual productions, a year-round performing ensemble, arts education partnerships in two schools, community classes, and summer youth arts programming, and are integral to the success of the organization. As an Afro-Latinx cultural arts legacy organization based in San Francisco, that has served thousands of community members over the past 30 years, Loco Bloco is beginning a new era of intergenerational leadership while continuing to uplift Afro-Latinx cultural traditions, community wellness, artistic excellence, and equitable access to the arts.
