Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, Embodiment Project (EP) will continue developing and mentoring artists through our three dance companies: EP’s professional dance company, Wishbone (for ages 18+ looking to break into the professional dance world), and SEEDS (youth development program and dance company). In addition to these professional opportunities, we also will continue to host and lead our community programming which offers dance opportunities for a range of ages and skill-levels.
Organization Summary
Embodiment Project’s year-round activities include street dance classes for youth and adults; workshops and conversations about hip hop histories; and annual performances of new evening-length works performed in both San Francisco and Oakland in order to reach broad audiences throughout the Bay Area. Our communities served include dance audiences, Bay Area POC communities, street dance enthusiasts, and youth.
