WisdoMania Foundation will partner with the Los Angeles LGBT Center to deliver a year-long series of wellness-centered arts workshops for LGBTQ+ youth ages 18–25. CAC funds will support the design and facilitation of multidisciplinary creative programming, including Songwriting for Wellness, visual arts, poetry, movement, and sound-based experiences. These workshops integrate self-expression with mental health tools to support emotional processing, identity development, and community connection in an affirming space.
Participants will engage in collaborative and individual creative practices that build confidence, resilience, and creative voice. Funds will support artist facilitators, materials, program coordination, and participant support, ensuring accessible, high-quality programming throughout the grant period.
WisdoMania Foundation offers a range of arts and wellness programs designed to support mental health, emotional expression, and resilience.
Our core services include custom wellness and arts activations for schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. These experiences integrate multiple modalities such as music, visual arts, movement, journaling, somatic practices, and sound healing, allowing participants to explore different pathways for self-expression and self-regulation.
We also provide free community programming (1–3 events per month), primarily hosted on Venice Beach. These gatherings are open to the public and integrate the arts and self-care, through experiences such as yoga, painting, poetry, and somatic healing. Designed to be accessible and welcoming, they offer consistent, low-barrier opportunities for community connection, reflection, and emotional support.
A signature program is our Songwriting for Wellness workshops, where participants use guided prompts and collaborative songwriting to process emotions and share their stories. Through our extended offering, songs created in these sessions can be professionally recorded, mixed, mastered, and released on digital streaming platforms (or privately on SoundCloud), with all participants credited as songwriters. This provides a tangible outcome that reinforces creative ownership, confidence, and a sense of being seen and heard.
