With support from the California Arts Council, the Riverside Arts Council (RAC) will continue serving as the SLP for Riverside County—supporting artists, strengthening organizations, and expanding access to the arts. SLP funding will support RAC’s core programs, including Riverside Artswalk, Arts in Public Places exhibitions, Riverside Art & Music Festival, and the Professional Development Workshop Series. These programs create consistent opportunities for artists to earn income, build skills, and connect with the community, while keeping arts experiences accessible to the public.
RAC is also expanding its Creative Workforce Development Pipeline through a Creative Communications Internship Program. This program provides emerging creatives with hands-on experience in marketing, design, and digital storytelling, while directly supporting the visibility of the arts in the county.
Together, this work supports a more connected, equitable, and sustainable arts ecosystem in the Region.
Programs include: Information Services, Capacity Building Technical Assistance, Exhibitions, Advocacy, Arts Education, Art as Therapy for developmentally disabled adults, youth in foster care, and Alzheimer’s / dementia patients, Veterans in the Arts, Fiscal Sponsorships, arts and accessibility through events that are free to attend/experience.
