With support from the California Arts Council, Tehama County Arts Council will strengthen and expand arts and cultural opportunities throughout rural Tehama County. We will provide free and low-cost programs that support artists of all ages and backgrounds, including ArtWalk, Missoula Children’s Theatre, the Student Art Contest, Poetry Out Loud, Cowboy Poetry, community art grants, monthly exhibitions, and classes. Through partnerships with schools, tribal communities, cultural organizations, and local businesses, we will present exhibitions, performances, workshops, and culturally specific events that celebrate the diverse traditions of our region. Our programs preserve and promote visual, literary, performing, and folk arts while ensuring accessibility for historically under-resourced communities. By fostering creativity, cultural expression, and community connection, we will help make the arts a vibrant and inclusive part of everyday life in Tehama County.
