With support from the California Arts Council, THE ELECTRIC COMPANY THEATRE will present a season of plays each year by a collective of artists dedicated to nurturing the exploration, development and presentation of classic, contemporary, and original texts for children and adults, providing a forum for community connection, and creating a platform for change through the unique experience of live theatre. ECT provides a show for children each year with free or discounted tickets to elementary students, and opportunities for free tickets for high schoolers at full length productions. ECT presents shows for all ages that provide intimate performer-audience experiences, often setting the plays in unconventional performance spaces. Casting a diverse company of actors, ECT tells beautiful stories to communities that may not otherwise be exposed to the art of theatre.
The Electric Company Theatre produces beautiful full-length plays, immersive experiences, and an intimate storytelling and concert series on the grounds of the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. Each season contains one show specifically for children: Thousands of Fullerton school children attend annually for original theatrical experiences written specifically for the students. The rest of the theatrical season includes shows for community members and residents of all ages, providing live theatre for the North Orange County area.
