With support from the California Arts Council, Hesperia Art Club, Inc will execute a facility expansion to establish the first permanent, community-owned art gallery and multi-disciplinary studio in the High Desert. This project will help us transition to a sustainable owner-operated cultural hub, ensuring long-term institutional stability and expanded public access to the arts in the High Desert region. If funded, our organization will utilize grant funds to support the following. Secure a permanent facility with sufficient square footage to house a public exhibition gallery and a multi-medium classroom. Increase the frequency of youth educational workshops and launch a dedicated curriculum in Spanish to serve the local Hispanic population. Improve physical infrastructure including adaptive workstations to ensure full participation for seniors and individuals with mobility disabilities. Host a year-round calendar of public gallery openings.
The purpose of this corporation is to bring together and increase the discovery, understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the art and artists in our community through classes, programs and events.
