With support from the California Arts Council, Pajaro Valley Arts will continue its 40+ year legacy of presenting diverse, culturally relevant visual-art exhibitions and year-round educational programs serving Watsonville and the broader Monterey Bay region. In 2025 the CAC designated Downtown Watsonville a state-recognized Cultural District (2026–2030), strengthening our role as a regional arts anchor. These operating funds will sustain a safe, accessible, and equitable community arts space, enhance staffing, board development, and volunteer capacity, and expand essential resources and infrastructure. We will maintain free public access to exhibitions, artist talks, readings, music performances, guided tours, and hands-on arts activities for youth and adults. Funds will also support curatorial and exhibition opportunities for emerging and professional artists of all backgrounds, strengthening creative careers and fostering community engagement.
Pajaro Valley Arts Council (PVA) has been fulfilling its mission “to bring the community together through the arts” for over 40 years. With a goal of promoting and fostering the arts, PVA presents rotating visual art exhibits, public projects, and cultural events in partnership with guest curators, schools, city government, and local organizations. PVA believes that every person deserves to have access to the arts, and conducts programming year-round at no cost to the public to fulfill this vision.
