Marin Theatre (MT)’s arts programs and services include 4-5 theatrical experiences produced on our mainstage each season and robust educational programming delivered to the community across Marin County and the Bay Area. MT creates intimate, resonant theatrical performances that champion diverse American playwrights and ignite dialogue around the complexities of human relationships and our shared humanity.

We complement our productions with robust public programs including cast and creative team interviews, Q&As hosted both at the Theatre and at our local partner bookstore, Book Passage, and curated visual art installations in our lobby that reflect the themes of each show. These multidisciplinary offerings deepen audience understanding and foster meaningful engagement with communities throughout the Bay Area.

Along with public programs, MT’s educational offerings serve learners from early childhood through adulthood and include in-school residencies, student matinees, after-school programs, adult theater workshops, pre- and post-show conversations, and summer camps. Summer camps engage youth ages 6–14, while in-school residencies and matinee programs focus on high school students, introducing them to the power of live performance and storytelling.

Each season, MT welcomes more than 30,000 patrons, artists, and creative collaborators into its spaces. While we maintain a deeply engaged, predominantly Marin-based subscriber base, our artistic and public programming is intentionally designed to reach audiences across the region.
