The headquarters of Mannakin Theater & Dance are located in San Francisco at the MTD operated iMPACt Center for Art & Dance, a 6,300 square foot performance and education venue. This large venue is reserved for performance and creation, and is rented out for rehearsals, performances and large-format groups gatherings.

MTD provides fiscal sponsorship services to upcoming organizations and projects.

The Nutshell! is an annual Nutcracker festival, produced and directed by MTD. It premiered in 2017, and has been seen every year since, including a global film production in the pandemic year of 2020. It features audience participation, immersive dance theater and guest performers from traditions like flamenco, Chinese and Indian classical, folklorico, jazz and tap.

In 2024 MTD is initiating a long planned project in the International Choreographers Festival, with celebrations in San Francisco at the iMPACt Center. This TED Talks-style festival provides audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the genesis point of the art of dance: choreography; complete with world premieres, meet and greets, and audience Q&A.

iMPACt Genesis Residencies—In 2024 Mannakin Theater & Dance launched a residency aimed at providing early and mid-stage creators a laboratory for creation in the generously apportioned iMPACt Center for Art & Dance. Each artist has up to 54 hours of time in the iMPACt Center, receives a $500 stipend and co-produces a performance with the other residents.

en Avant School—This outreach academy in East Palo Alto provides youth from underserved families access to the same arts training and performance as enjoyed by youth from more affluent families. In 2024, we added a full after-school program with tutoring to the services, including rides from school and home to our facilities. en Avant School produces the Nutcracker each December, a summer-time fairy-tale adaptation and a Spring graduation recital.
