Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, the Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, Inc. will provide programming and events which promote the contribution of Mexican culture to the Chicano diaspora and the larger cultural landscape of the United States. It is our hope that through the art and cultural events and activities presented by the Mexican Cultural institute, more people will have a greater awareness of their own selves, our culture, and the influences upon their lives.
Organization Summary
Free Art exhibits, outdoor concerts, folkloric dances, lectures by local and Mexican scholars, historical exhibits, literary workshops, Mexican film club, Spanish classes, family workshops and certificates of the history of Mexico-California. Art programming and collaborations with cultural end educational organizations from Baja California and the rest of the Mexican republic.
