Help celebrate 50 years of support for California’s creative expression

The California Arts Council is seeking bids for an event producer to manage and execute an awards ceremony to commemorate its 50^th anniversary in 2026. The event will recognize the impact and legacy of the founding members of the Council, as well as California artists, arts leaders, and arts organizations that have made a significant contribution to the cultural and civic life of our great state.

The selected producer will work in collaboration with CAC staff and Council members to translate the event vision into reality.

Key activities will include, but are not limited to:

• Serving as the fiscal intermediary on behalf of CAC’s privately funded anniversary celebration
• Facilitating design, distribution, and tracking of invitations and RSVPs
• Event staffing (e.g., front of house, registration, stage manager)
• Identifying, securing, and managing subcontracts (venue, catering, AV/lighting, entertainment, photography, security, etc.)
• Coordinating program flow, run-of-show, scripts, rehearsals, and staging
• Coordinating and securing awardees attendance (ground transportation, lodging, etc.)
