The Auburn Arts Commission (AAC), as appointed by the City of Auburn with the goal of fostering and promoting visual and performing arts in Auburn, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a design-build artist to create and install a sculpture within the 60 ft diameter traffic roundabout currently under construction by California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) at the intersection of Lincoln Way (State Highway 49) and Borland Avenue in Auburn, California. The sculpture will be viewed by traffic entering or leaving Auburn from the American River Canyon, the historic Lincoln Highway and local community.
The RFP is available through the AAC website. All details of the project are included therein. A Proposers’ Conference and site tour will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Details of the Proposers’ Conference are also included in the RFP document.
