SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Arts Council (CAC) announced today that it has reopened three of its funding opportunities from its 2022 grant season, with applications now being accepted for the following three grant programs:
- Administering Organization – Individual Artists Fellowship – Successful applicants will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Individual Artist Fellowship program. Applicant organizations for this funding opportunity may apply to serve Region IV (Northern California) only.
- Creative Youth Development – Successful applicants will receive supporting for arts projects for youth outside of traditional school hours. Organizations funded during the previous 2022 program cycle are not eligible to apply for this opportunity.
- Cultural Pathways – Technical Assistance – The successful applicant will provide 2022 Cultural Pathways grantees with technical assistance and professional development tools, resources, and training.
Council members voted to reopen the Cultural Pathways – Technical Assistance and Administering Organization – Individual Artists Fellowship grant programs at the August and October business meetings, respectively, due to a lack of eligible applications in the initial round. Also at the October meeting, Council voted to reopen the agency’s Creative Youth Development program to ensure that remaining funds from the 2021-22 budget are encumbered before the end of the current fiscal year.
“We are eager to welcome new applicants for these three grant programs, while we simultaneously boost our collaboration with existing partners and networks to ensure that organizations across our state are made aware of these funding opportunities,” said Jonathan Moscone, Executive Director of the California Arts Council. “Staff will also be stepping up direct support for interested organizations through increased office hours along with additional tools and resources to create a more equitable application process for all.”
