Segerstrom Center for the Arts is one of the nation’s most acclaimed performing arts centers, presenting an eclectic range of the world’s finest performers and companies to the diverse communities of Orange County and Southern California. These performances complement a wide range of innovative community engagement and education programs that reach over 375,000 people annually. Its annual seasons include a popular Broadway series, an acclaimed classical dance series, world premieres, the ABT Gillespie School of Dance, international collaborations, innovative dance and theatre performances, intimate jazz, cabaret and family-oriented presentations, a contemporary performance festival, and free outdoor performances. The Center is recovering from the pandemic and launching new, exciting programs, including new commissions, capital improvements, a wider variety of artistic programming, and more.
Vice President of Community Engagement: As a leading cultural organization, the Center has the opportunity to both contribute to and benefit from the variety of perspectives, expertise, priorities, and resources resulting from robust engagement with its many diverse communities. This enhanced and comprehensive level of engagement is essential to the continued excellence of artistic and educational programs and the Center’s long-term relevance to the constantly changing community in which it exists. This position will focus on achieving that critical goal by helping ensure the Center implements key elements of its long-range plan, connecting with its diverse stakeholders in ways that add value to their communities and trigger their active engagement with the Center. These efforts will enhance the Center’s current engagement focus with diverse constituencies as a core value and key performance driver to its future success. EOE. Excellent salary and benefits.
