2021 American Bookbinders Museum Internship – 3-month commitment, September – November (one training day in August), PAID
Great opportunity for a marketing, nonprofit management, or museum studies undergraduate or graduate student to gain valuable PAID professional experience! Will work with the selected candidate to provide academic credit if needed.

Requirements:
- Onsite 4 days per week: Wed-Saturday 6-8 hours per day
- Basic computer skills – will be trained on ABM systems
- Basic museum practices
- Good writing skills
- Good presence, able to interact with the public in a professional and friendly manner
- Works well with others, able to collaborate and take direction
Responsibilities:
- Social Media content and weekly posts: Instagram, Facebook & Twitter
- Marketing emails under supervision of ED & staff
- Front-of-house 50% of each day: greet and check-In visitors, answer questions, manage register, assist in shop
- Participate in preparation of special exhibitions or other museum installations
- Conduct research and write interpretive text
- Cataloging and data entry in our Collection Management System
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands: Light lifting; frequent use of stairs, may require using ladders and light equipment.
Special Environmental Factors: Open office setting
