The art of Head Start: Intensive arts integration associated with advantage in school readiness for economically disadvantaged children
The present study examined the impact of intensive arts integration on school readiness for economically disadvantaged children attending Head Start preschool. Participants were 265 children, ages 3-5 years.

Engaging the Community: Reflections on a STEAM Institute
Staff at an elementary school working with artists from a non-profit arts integration professional development organization developed a highly engaging full day STEAM Institute to engage the community in experiential STEAM learning practices and to leverage the experience for systemic impact. This reflection considers the outcomes that went well beyond the original goals.
The Socioemotional Benefits of the Arts: A New Mandate for Arts Education
WolfBrown, an arts research firm, collaborated with Johns Hopkins’ Science of Learning Institute, and a cohort of the William Penn Foundation’s Philadelphia-based arts education grantees, to define the impact of arts education programs on students’ socioemotional skills.
