Call For Photography: The Surreal
Surrealism is an artistic exploration of the human psyche, dreams, and the unconscious mind. Through bizarre and fantastical scenes, juxtaposition, or symbolism, we challenge you to capture and present images that defy logic and question the boundary of perception. Invite us to a realm where the conscious and unconscious blur and reality transform into the surreal.
The Surreal is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.
Art and Seed Swap
Celebrating its third year, The Verdancy Project is excited to announce the launch of our annual Art and Seed Swap! What better way to kick off the new year than by embarking on a creative venture? We invite everyone, regardless of age or creative background, to join our 2024 Art and Seed Swap.
Seed-sharing is a timeless tradition that embodies resilience and plays a crucial role in preserving crop diversity, especially in the face of climate change. Our vision for this project is to bring together creative and passionate gardeners and nature enthusiasts, fostering a community that shares seeds and embraces the role of biodiversity stewards.
Participants will not only contribute to the preservation of essential plant varieties but also showcase their artistic talents by designing unique seed packets. This is a wonderful opportunity to merge creativity with sustainability.

Brand: New
treat gallery new york is pleased to release our first open call of 2024: Brand: New.
Reinvention is no stranger to the contemporary art world. Artists have had to pivot repeatedly, most recently; during the recession, the coronavirus pandemic, and the rise of artificial intelligence. To reinvent is to change (something) so much that it appears to be entirely new, or to take up a very different job or way of life. To re-establish something as new is to begin a process, or make significant changes or improvements to (something.) Words commonly associated with reinvention are: transform. disrupt. redesign. experiment. modify. reclaim.
We’re in search of 8-12 artists who take on this theme aesthetically, conceptually or creatively for an online feature, which will run on Artsy and our Website from February 1st – February 29th, 2024. Work must have been completed or created between October 2023 – January 2024.
For complete details, please navigate to our “Current Opportunities” tab on our website, or click on this link.
