Summary of the Position:
This full-time, temporary position provides project-based marketing support for the Colburn School. Under the direction of the VP of Communications, the marketing coordinator assists with the execution of promotional campaigns to support the School’s 22-23 performance season, fall enrollment efforts, and other initiatives as needed. The Marketing Coordinator will also assist with other communications projects as needed, including public events and e-newsletters.
Responsibilities:
- Draft effective and well-informed marketing copy for email, web, advertisements, brochures, radio, and other assets as needed
- Work with designers to produce digital and print collateral
- Place digital and print advertising, including execution of Facebook and Instagram ads and Google search ads
- Create promotional emails using WordFly
- Work with mail house to execute promotional mailings
- Solicit cross-promotional partnerships, work with partner organizations as needed
- Track timelines for large departmental projects as needed
- Schedule monthly meetings and other group meetings as needed
- Prepare meeting agendas; gather topics from members and circulate in advance
- Process invoices
Qualifications and Experience
- Five years of experience in marketing.
- Previous experience working with designers and printers and managing online and print advertising
- Familiarity with common website and email platforms; Word Fly highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of music and the performing arts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write for a variety of audiences and vehicles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
