Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the second Landscapes online art contest for the month of June 2021. Contest is open to all artists worldwide over 18 years of age. The primary focus of Landscapes theme should be any art with interpretation of natural elements such as mountains, hills, valleys, deserts, forests, farmland, trees, rivers, lakes, polar regions, rainforests, islands and tropical landscapes. All visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. The Best of Show winning artwork will be displayed as the poster of the show. 2021 Voices of Lincoln Poetry Contest
The 17th Annual Voices of Lincoln Poetry Contest officially began in April, as part of the celebration of National Poetry Month. The theme of this year’s contest is “If Life Were A Game Show, What Would Poets Say?”
The five (5) new contest categories, selected from the names of popular TV game shows, include the following: “Let’s Make A Deal” “To Tell The Truth” “The Price Is Right” “Family Feud” “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” Poets may submit a maximum of three poems, no more than one in each of three of the five contest categories.
Everyone is encouraged to enter the contest. Poets do not have to live in Lincoln, CA to be eligible. There is no entry fee. Young Poets, 18-years of age or under, are encouraged to submit poems and will compete in a special “Young Poets” category. Winners also will receive a commemorative chapbook of the winning poems.

International Art Competition Textures & Patterns
Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd “Textures & Patterns” Online Art Competition for the month of June 2021. This is an international competition and artists and photographers from around the world are welcome to submit their best works with the theme Textures & Patterns. A variety of interpretations can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. In the modern age we have rediscovered a concept of Freedom increasingly linked to the right to redeem something obtained in exchange for something else. The medium of exchange is money, a bypass for freedom that allows us to satisfy our desires, vices and needs.
It is the same invisible structure within which we lead our existence to propose the windows of freedom, a selection of products and services that summon us to rooms of pleasure, where the dormant senses are stimulated and reactivated to rekindle with our emotions, the only residues of our human nature, that also make us alive.
The protagonists of the art world, as well as any author of any form of free expression, were the first to understand the need to live beyond these structures. This call is an invitation to propose works that testify to this rupture, where freedom is obtained without any exchange, where it is not a product and it is priceless.

Abandoned: Time and Place, Louisville Photo Biennial 2021
Abandoned: Time and Place is an open call for photography that explores the theme of vacant, uninhabitable, or otherwise abandoned spaces. By capturing images of these spaces, we are able to see the ephemeral nature of each environment and preserve them, often moments before these spaces are forgotten, condemned, demolished, or otherwise lost to time. What do these vacant structures say about us as we leave them to decay during a spike in our world’s unhoused population? What is the meaning of shelter, and what-or whom-are we abandoning during these unprecedented times?

This exhibition is open to photographers only. All traditional and non-traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission.
This exhibition will run during the 2021 Louisville Photo Biennial and within walking distance of the St. James Art Fair, one of North America’s largest and prestigious art fairs. Abandoned: Time and Place is a juried exhibition open to all levels of photographers, but early entrants and established artists will have their work reviewed for future group and solo exhibitions.
