International Art Competition Still Life
Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 1st “Still Life” Online Art Competition. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The theme of this competition requires that artists incorporate either natural objects, such as foods, flowers, plants, rocks, shells, or man-made objects, such as books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, etc. We will not consider still-life paintings depicting dead animals or human skulls. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. First place will be on the poster of the show. $15 for 2 images, $28 for 4, $58 for up to 10. Deadline: November 25, 2021.

Call for Panelists – Annual Arts and Culture Funding Application Review Panels
Apply now to be considered for the City of San Diego funding application review panelists pool for the FY23 funding cycle, and contribute to supporting the impact arts and culture organizations have on our communities throughout San Diego!
The FY23 panel review process will take place in spring 2022. Panels will be conducted virtually or in a hybrid format.
We are looking for artists, cultural practitioners, and arts field professionals from all disciplines and backgrounds throughout North America and Baja California. Panelists receive a $150 honorarium for a full-day panel, and a $75 honorarium for a half-day panel.

Call for Artists! 2022 International Juried Exhibition
Call for artists! The Center for Contemporary Art 2022 International Juried Exhibition will be held January 14 – February 26, 2022. The exhibition will consist of two- and three-dimensional work in all media. Work across a variety of display solutions is also encouraged. Juror: Erin Jenoa Gilbert is a New York based curator and art advisor, specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art of the African Diaspora. Most recently the Curator of African American Manuscripts at the Smithsonian Archives of American Art, she has also held positions at The Art Institute of Chicago and The Studio Museum in Harlem.
