New Visionary Magazine, a publication by Visionary Art Collective, features contemporary artists, exclusive interviews with art world professionals, and valuable art career resources. Based in New York City, Visionary Art Collective aims to uplift artists through magazine features, virtual exhibitions, podcast interviews, and mentorship programs.
We are seeking artists of all experience levels to highlight in our upcoming issue. Selected artists will receive a 2-page spread, along with a custom article about their work written by our head writer.
Issue 12 will be curated by the New Visionary Magazine Team, which includes Victoria J. Fry, Emma Hapner, Veronica Petty, Valerie Auersperg, and Blair Beusman.
Victoria J. Fry is the Founder of Visionary Art Collective, Editor in Chief of New Visionary Magazine, and Director of Warnes Contemporary Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.
Emma Hapner, an accomplished NYC-based painter, manages the Visionary Art Collective blog, conducts interviews with leading art world professionals for our publication, and oversees daily administrative operations.
Veronica Petty, the Founder of Domingo Comms, offers personalized services in communications, art advisory, and interior design, and serves as the Director of Media Partnerships.
Valerie Auersperg, an esteemed visual artist based in New Zealand, is also the graphic designer behind each issue.
Blair Beusman, who has worked for a variety of cultural publications and organizations including The New Yorker, Literary Hub, and PEN America, is the head writer for our magazine.
Eligibility: This opportunity is open to artists of all career levels globally. This is an open call with no specific theme. We are looking for a wide range of artwork to include. Must be 18+ to submit.
We accept all 2D & 3D mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, digital, prints, fiber art, collage, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, and installation art.
Submission info:
You may submit 3-4 images of your work for $25, 5-6 images for $28, or 7-8 images for $32.
If selected, we require a $35 publishing fee prior to the magazine’s release date.
You do not need to include the dates of artwork that you submit.
Selected artists will have a custom article written about their work and published in the magazine.

Please be sure to include high-quality images of your work, 300 DPI, minimum 800 pixels wide
All images must be cropped to show only the artwork (unless sculpture or ceramics)

Call for Artists: Spring 2025 CICA Art Studio Program
CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the CICA Art Studio Program for Spring 2025. The program will take place at the CICA Museum in Spring 2025, with available months are from November 2024 to June 2025. Each artist will be allocated a studio space of around 44m2 for one month, where they will have a solo exhibition at the assigned space for 1-2 weeks during the term based on their preference. The artist may collaborate with CICA Museum and/or CICA Kids Lab to conduct workshops or performances. Furthermore, the artist will be showcased in the e-book, “CICA Art Now 2025,” with the option to order a print edition.

*Term and Conditions:
Each artist will be allocated a studio space of approximately 44m2 at the CICA Museum for one month between November 2024 and June 2025. The artist will have access to the designated space throughout the agreed period. Basic tools such as hammers, levels, tape measures, electric drills, screws, and a ladder will be provided for use. Please note that sleeping in the facility is prohibited.
The artist will need to contribute the registration fee of $900 USD to confirm the participation. During the agreed period, the artist can collaborate with CICA Museum and/or CICA Kid’s Lab on an art project, as well as conduct workshops or performances. If any profits are made from selling artworks, tickets, etc., the artist will receive a 90% commission. The museum will promote the events on social media and in communities, covering the promotional costs with its 10% commission.
