Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Zoo Labs will continue producing free educational content, increase wages for artist-instructors by 20%, and increase accessibility with Spanish language translations of our courses. We will utilize targeted marketing to increase awareness of our grant program and educational resources for BIPOC creative entrepreneurs throughout the 9 counties of the Bay Area.

In 2024 we will produce 10 new courses and 6 live virtual workshops. For Zoo Labs FUND awardees, we will double the amount of mentor honorariums, honoring our mentors’ time and attracting more business-savvy mentors to participate. Funding will also support staff compensation and administrative costs.

This support will help us expand our library of online entrepreneurship courses and deepen its connection to the Zoo Labs FUND to support sustainable BIPOC-led artist ecosystems in the Bay Area.

Organization Summary

Zoo Labs bridges the worlds of art and business by providing global access to artist-tailored entrepreneurial training via our free online school, Zoo Labs LEARN.
