The World Stage’s mission is to secure, preserve and advance the position of African American music, literature and works in the oral tradition to a local, national and international audience. Purpose: Located in the cultural Mecca of Leimert Park Village, Los Angeles, through weekly music and literary arts workshops, TWS provides quality arts education, concerts, Jazz jam sessions to link an intergenerational, diverse community to the African American cultural tradition. Workshops are offered throughout the year. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
