With support from the California Arts Council, University of California Santa Barbara will bring The Trojan Women Project to the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility. TTWP is a theater arts leadership program for incarcerated females who leverage Euripides’ heroines’ tragedies to strategize productive outcomes for themselves from the ashes of Troy.
At the forefront of Scholarship in the Humanities and Fine Arts: From the English Broadside Ballad Archive to the Center for the Study of Work, Labor and Democracy, UC Santa Barbara is home to 24 dedicated research centers and academic initiatives, as well as four performance programs in theater and dance and 25 musical groups, ensembles and choirs.
