With support from the California Arts Council, Trinity One Theatre Troupe, Inc will be able to continue to provide our quality arts education programs for community youth and produce live theatre experiences that are culturally relevant and entertaining for the people of San Diego County.
Trinity Theatre Company (TTC) operates two core programs aligned with our mission to provide theatre access for all, regardless of experience or barriers. Grown Up Stage (GUS) presents live productions and community engagement programs, fostering artistic expression and audience connection. Arts Education (AE) offers theatre training and performance opportunities for youth in schools and throughout the community, ensuring accessible, high-quality arts education. GUS produces at least four full-scale productions each season, employing over 100 artists in performance and technical roles. One production will be our Annual New Works Festival, showcasing emerging playwrights through staged readings and interactive audience engagement, drawing an estimated 500 attendees. GUS also offers community-based programs. Living Room Readers, a free weekly play-reading group, welcomes seasoned performers and newcomers to explore scripts in a relaxed, social setting. StoryTime, held four times a month at local libraries, introduces young audiences to literature and theatre through interactive storytelling by our professional actors. Arts Education serves 1,500 students annually with skill-based classes, technical theatre training, and full-scale productions. Instruction occurs through school partnerships countywide and at our Mission Valley and North County spaces, ensuring broad accessibility. Programs integrate CAVAPA and ELA standards to enhance academic achievement. Our bilingual teaching staff fosters an inclusive,
engaging environment. Trinity collaborates with arts organizations by providing performance and rehearsal space, expanding artistic opportunities, and fostering creative partnerships. We also work with local high schools to provide internships, fulfilling graduation requirements while exposing students to arts careers.
