Project Description

Topsy-Turvy Queer Circus organizes multidisciplinary circus arts productions that narrate LGBTQ stories and challenge and subvert traditional ideals of beauty, gender, sexuality and power.  Topsy-Turvy builds on the nouveau circus arts movement largely initiated by Cirque du Soleil: our multidisciplinary productions explore the unique amalgamation of queer culture and circus art forms while centering the work of queer artists of color who are significantly underrepresented in circus arts.
