Tierra Caliente Academy of Arts (TCAA) was founded in 2005 as “Ballet Folklorico Tierra Caliente,” a local small community dance group, with the purpose of sharing the beauty of Latinx traditions. As years went by, this grassroots Latinx-lead, arts group’s vision solidified. In 2013, TCAA became an official 501c3 non-profit organization. TCAA’s mission is to create cultural awareness through comprehensive artistic education that fosters excellence in all forms of the visual and performing arts. TCAA advances knowledge, promotes creativity and discipline, providing outreach to communities, especially under-served Latinx families. TCAA’s vision is to foster artistic excellence through community development of programs and events that strengthen the community.
