CAC funding would cover payroll, artist fees, and production expenses so TheatreFIRST can rehire our furloughed staff and begin preparations for a return to in-person programming, instituting OSHA- and CAC-guided and AEA-mandated health safety measures to ensure performances are safe for TheatreFIRST personnel, students, and audiences.
TheatreFirst offers a four-show, subscription season, a presenting arm at the Live Oak Theatre providing an Artist-in-Residence Program, giving a home, free of charge, to other progressive storytellers including Wry Crips Disabled Women’s Theatre, Symmetry Theatre, and Fusion Arts. We are starting T1U in April 2018 that will include: Ongoing 6 week sessions where artists interface with those doing our work that include 2 day masterclasses blending art and social activism.
