With support from the California Arts Council, the Wende Museum will be able to sustain and bolster crucial arts education services for our Culver City community throughout the ongoing pandemic period.
Offering a creative mix of arts programming at the Armory campus, the Wende’s continually diversifying constituency includes students (K-12, college, and university), educators, international visitors and scholars, and the Culver City and surrounding West and South Los Angeles communities (of all ages). The museum welcomes more than 15,000 visitors per year for exhibition viewing, multidisciplinary public events, and art education efforts, all offered to the public free of charge. As a 21st-century museum, the Wende has a Board-approved community services policy, and also now offers its space for activities ranging from a convening of local nonprofits to free yoga classes.
