With support from the California Arts Council, The PGK DANCE Project provides “PGK Dance for All” Saturday workshops at The Gathering Place free for up to 100 middle to high school low income youth taught by our teaching artists. Fall then Spring ten week sessions include training and exposure to diverse dance forms including: contemporary/modern, jazz, afro-fusion, body percussion. Each session ends with a public performance featuring the students with PGK DANCE at The Gathering Place.
The PGK Dance Project, professional contemporary repertory company performing works by a wide variety of diverse choreographers year round. Produces Dance on the EDGE annually presenting up to 25 professional, semi-professional companies of diverse styles for free inside of Mission Federal Credit Union’s ARTWALK. Extensive public engagement with dance outreach, classes, workshops in community spaces including but not limited to: Libraries, community centers, alternative sites, parks.
