Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, The PGK Dance Project will present our interactive assembly “Break it Down” which focuses on people’s similarities rather than differences at 6 Title 1 schools located in 6 underserved communities across San Diego County serving up to 3,500 students and their teachers who will also receive Free tickets and transportation as needed to our Fall Show at The Lyceum Theater and our annual Spring Show at our creative placemaking partner site POPUP15.
Organization Summary
The PGK Dance Project, professional contemporary repertory company performing works by a wide variety of diverse choreographers year round. Produces Dance on the EDGE annually presenting up to 25 professional, semi-professional companies of diverse styles for free inside of Mission Federal Credit Union’s ARTWALK. Extensive public engagement with dance outreach, classes, workshops in community spaces including but not limited to: Libraries, community centers, alternative sites, parks.
