With support from the California Arts Council we seek to continue to keep our teaching artists on staff to continue to provide our free arts and education programs for the most vulnerable youth in our communities.
Our Dance & Mentorship program combines dance and mentoring to give youth and children an opportunity to healthily express themselves and to grow into the leaders of the next generation. Through this program, students receive training in fundamentals, choreography, and performance in various dance styles. Students also go through a mentorship curriculum aimed towards equipping them will skills and tools needed beyond the classroom, such as but not limited to, healthy communication and conflict resolution. By combining such activities, students discover the power of the arts all while they develop into strong young leaders.
Our Academics program exists to equip every student with the proper tools to succeed in their classrooms. Our staff and volunteers work directly with students through academic counseling, tutoring, and college and career readiness workshops to prepare them for every potential challenge. Our students learn that education goes beyond the classroom and there is always an opportunity to learn something new.
