An ensemble unique to its time and place, LACO was organized in 1968 to create a forum for classical collaboration among the top commercial musicians working in Hollywood’s film and record studios. LACO advances its mission by giving 30-40 distinctive performances a year, offering free and low-cost education and outreach programs for all ages, making concert content freely accessible via broadcast and streaming, and nurturing a worldwide community on social media. Over five decades, LACO has earned eight ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming, released 31 recordings and toured Europe, Japan and the Americas.
