With support from the California Arts Council, Teatro Espejo will cover rental fees for the next two season’s rehearsal periods and performances, invest in an accounting system and consultant, provide more Accessibility services for all programming, and offer volunteers travel stipends. In Year Two, Teatro Espejo will pilot an infrastructure to provide part-time salaries to the Artistic Director, Associate Artistic Director, Marketing & Communications Director, Accountant, and Grant Writer.
Teatro Espejo offers two main season productions during the summer and winter that provide challenging and professional performance growth opportunities to our core membership of actors and performers. Through the quality of our productions, we offer our community a highly refined entertaining and meaningful experience. During summer, our Teatro Espejo One Act Festival is a performance geared project created to provide a productive training environment for burgeoning directors, performers, technicians, and creative workers. In winter, Teatro Espejo also offers a Children’s Showcase Festival where we provide training workshops for children of all ages. We focus on helping children become more assertive and help promote self-esteem through coaching and hands-on learning. After training, they are offered the opportunity to showcase their creative potential to the community at large.
