Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center (TWDCC) facilitates a working home for professional world & contemporary dance artists, while providing dance education that is committed to access, equity, and excellence. Our mission centers around the work and development of the artist. Since our founding, we have made it a priority to foster a working home for artists to support themselves, develop a broad base of work professionally, and forge new ideas through community support and conversation. TWDCC is a vibrant hub in the heart of the Tannery Arts Center. For 11 years, TWDCC, a Black female led organization, has been a home and cultural resource to dance artists and a thriving community of families, students, patrons, and partners that has left a global imprint locally in the form of vibrant festivals, cutting edge dance performance, and cross-cultural family experiences.
