With support from the California Arts Council, Self Help Graphics and Arts will continue The Youth Artivism Internship program integrating art and youth voices into our housing justice advocacy with Eastside LEADS. Open to Los Angeles youth, 18-24, interested in advocacy, activism, art, and with strong ties to the community.
Self Help Graphics serves 30,000 community members and upwards of 100 artists annually through our programming. That includes:
-Our curatorial offerings: Our Exhibitions and Archive, the Professional Printmaking Program, the Barrio Mobile Art Studio, and the Beyond the Press Artist Residency program
– Free and low-cost arts education programming for youth, families and individuals
– Free community arts programs such as our Dia de los Muertos programming and Wellness Wednesdays
