Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Scripps Ranch Theatre will provide San Diego residents and visitors with the experience of live theatre and stimulate artistic achievement throughout the region through mainstage performances, play readings and school outreach programs.

Organization Summary

SRT’s core programs and services include:

Mainstage Productions: Each season, SRT produces five high-quality live-theatre plays for residents of San Diego County.

Out On A Limb (OOAL): OOAL offers area playwrights the unique opportunity to develop their work from proposal to production. OOAL takes place every July.

Play readings: SRT works with professional playwrights from San Diego and beyond to provide free live play readings to SRT patrons and the community at large.

Outreach and Education Program: Out on a Limb actors and directors travel to middle and high school students throughout the County and perform for (and provide talk-backs to) over 500 students each year.
