With support form the California Arts Council, the Santa Paula Museum of Art’s will administer the “SPisMe” project, featuring local artist Sergio Martinez, with lessons to explore positive cultural and individual identity, created for local public school students, culminating in a poster and social media campaign partnering with local business.
Established in 2010, the Santa Paula Art Museum (SPAM) provides fine arts exhibition programming, including rotating, original exhibitions by local historic and contemporary artists, artist talks and demonstrations, and exhibit videos and publications; arts educational programming, including free exhibit tours and hands-on art lessons for local schools, dedicated exhibition space for student-created art, free monthly family days, and studio fine art classes for all ages; and outreach programming, including a nine-year partnership with Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley providing weekly art lessons at four local Boys & Girls Club sites.
