Project Description

With support from the California Arts Council, Santa Monica Bay Music Foundation (SMBMF) will expand our Field Trips program and fund transportation to and from our facility. SMBMF provides field trips for public elementary school students. This program is free of charge to schools, and presents both performances of music and interactive, hands on demonstrations of musical instruments to hundreds of school children each year. These opportunities align with VAPA standards.

Organization Summary

The Santa Monica Bay Music Foundation provides three core services – Music Camps, Field Trips, and after school Music Ensembles. These three services are designed to fill the gap in arts education left by an underfunded school district. Our programs are open to all students, but are targeted towards those who do not have arts programming in their school.
