The mission of the Santa Barbara Community Youth Performing Arts Center (SBCYPAC), aka The Marjorie Luke Theatre (The Luke), is to establish and maintain an exceptional educational performing arts facility in partnership with the Santa Barbara Unified School District for future generations.
The Marjorie Luke Theatre’s primary goal is to provide a quality, affordable, accessible and youth-friendly performing arts venue for young people and the community to utilize.
The Luke Theatre is a visionary, model of public/private partnership. Busy over 274 days a year, we have established our credibility and importance in Santa Barbara’s cultural life.
The 808-seat Luke has been rented by 231 area arts and educational organizations, and welcomes over 36,000 audience members annually (cumulative attendance over 476,000 people of all ages, through December 2018).
The Luke is truly where Santa Barbara’s homegrown arts thrive and Where Dreams Take Stage!
