With support from the California Arts Council, San Francisco Cinematheque will present a year-long series of programs featuring artist-made (non-commercial/non-narrative) film and video representing non-commercial filmmaking practice from diverse international communities. Programs will be presented in public venues in the SF Bay Area and online at www.sfcinematheque.org.
The primary activity of San Francisco Cinematheque is the presentation of specially curated screening programs of artist-made (non-commercial and non-narrative) film and video. Additionally, Cinematheque creates publications documenting the field, curates online programming and maintains a publicly accessible research archive documenting the field.
