Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, San Francisco Cinematheque will serve as fiscal sponsor for the Gravity Spells II: Bay Area New Music And Expanded Cinema Art project. The project seeks honoraria for the project’s lead artist/organizer, as well as for the 32 artists invited to perform within 4 live events that supplement the overall project. The performances will run July 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th of 2020, and fall within the grant activity portion of the project.
Organization Summary
The primary activity of San Francisco Cinematheque is the presentation of specially curated screening programs of artist-made (non-commercial and non-narrative) film and video. Additionally, Cinematheque creates publications documenting the field, curates online programming and maintains a publicly accessible research archive documenting the field.
