With support from the California Arts Council, the San Diego Cultural Arts Alliance will implement two sessions of The Diversionary Graffiti Education & Mural Arts Programs to a variety of youth at risk. The program partnership with the District Attorney’s office, San Diego County Sheriff, San Diego Police Department and the San Diego County Probation Department is designed to provide early intervention to deter juvenile offenders from further involvement in the justice system.

2. The School Based Graffiti Education & Mural Arts Program engages youth to attend school on a consistent basis, become involved in school activities and get better grades. We believe that youth that may be inclined to engage in criminal activities, we can teach the youth to: Be an artist, Be an entrepreneur, Be an innovator and seek better opportunities for themselves.
3. Mural Arts Program; Once the students complete the Graffiti Education & Mural Arts Education classes, they are able to participate in a mural crew where they are taught, mentored, and given guidance by our art team while creating murals that give voice to the community and the spirit of its values.
