With support from the California Arts Council, SAM AND ALFREDA MALOOF FOUNDATION FOR ARTS AND CRAFTS will extend its Artful Living Initiative to provide approximately 80 students at K-6 schools of the Ontario Montclair School District with field trips and 64 hands-on artmaking sessions offered during after school hours.
The Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts encompasses a Smithsonian Affiliate museum, learning center, workshop and drought-tolerant Discovery Garden. Our educational programs consist of public tours; K-12 arts programming including field trips, in-school workshops and the Maloof Teen program; the Maloof Veterans Workshop, serving US military veterans; and Maloof Upper Barn Workshops, offering hands-on woodworking experiences. We also present art exhibitions, symposia and special events.The Maloof is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and a member of the Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios program established by the National Trust.
