With support from the California Arts Council, SAM AND ALFREDA MALOOF FOUNDATION FOR ARTS AND CRAFTS will fund six US military veterans to participate in Maloof Veterans Workshop programs, and provide a Veterans Community Liaison volunteer with a modest annual stipend toward costs incurred in recruiting participants from Inland Empire veterans service agencies.
The Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts encompasses a Smithsonian Affiliate museum, learning center, workshop and drought-tolerant Discovery Garden. Our educational programs consist of public tours; K-12 arts programming including field trips, in-school workshops and the Maloof Teen program; the Maloof Veterans Workshop, serving US military veterans; and Maloof Upper Barn Workshops, offering hands-on woodworking experiences. We also present art exhibitions, symposia and special events. The Maloof is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and a member of the Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios program established by the National Trust.
