Royal Stage aims to provide a safe and creative community for all, with a special focus on girls and women who are at an economic disadvantage. Royal Stage provides free and deeply discounted dance, theater, and art classes to low-income families, as well as females with a history of abuse in their lives. Participants are able to experience the performing arts in a professional studio environment, and also participate in their own performances. Royal Stage aims to benefit the whole individual, which is why in addition to our arts programming we also offer pro-bono counseling placements, as well as transportation and grocery assistance on an as-needed basis. Royal Stage does not turn any participant away regardless of their socioeconomic background. Those who are at an economic advantage and are able to pay for classes do so at a reasonable rate, and are made aware that any profit is funneled back into our scholarship programming. Lastly, Royal Stage distributes free tickets to its performances to low-income communities, serving as the first live theater experience for many youth.
