Project Description
With support from the California Arts Council, REGIONAL ORGANIZATION OF OAXACA will strengthen its members abilities to practice and preserve the Oaxacan indigenous arts and culture in Los Angeles and by making it accessible to others through virtual programs.
Organization Summary
For 30 years ORO has been the driving force organizing the Oaxacan immigrant communities to share our indigenous culture with other residents of Los Angeles, through the organization of cultural events such as the Guelaguetza and the creation of music and dance groups specialized on performing folk Oaxacan music and dances.
